Protecting the Consumer's Future

The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals Texas Chapter represents licensed health insurance agents and benefits professionals throughout the great State of Texas. NABIP-TX members manage the health insurance needs of large and small employers as well as people seeking individual health insurance and Medicare supplemental or advantage plans.

NABIP-TX’s primary goal is to help promote access to affordable health insurance coverage. Our members help consumers by guiding them through the complexities of purchasing and enrolling in a health insurance plan, while ensuring they get the best policy at the most affordable price. We seek to understand each individual situation to create recommendations that complement a client's financial and medical risk needs. However, our job does not end with the sale. Our members are committed to assisting their clients with claims issues, service questions and compliance matters for all of their clients.

The clients of NABIP-TX members range from national accounts to sole proprietors, as well as individuals seeking health insurance. Our members have a unique understanding of consumer health care needs with the perspective of business owners and the economic realities of the health insurance market. NABIP-TX members not only sell traditional health insurance products, but also coverage such as dental, long-term care, disability, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplements, and a variety of consumer-driven products. NABIP-TX Members agree to abide by the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals Code of Ethics, which requires them to always make health care coverage recommendations with the customer's best interest in mind.

We represent our local chapters, clients, the insured, and work to make health insurance more affordable and accessible for our state's residents. By educating our elected officials, we strive to avoid unnecessary legislation and the unintended consequences that often follows increased governmental involvement.

NABIP is our National Association which represents more than 100,000 licensed health insurance agents, brokers, general agents, consultants and benefit professionals through more than 200 chapters across the United States  NABIP is a key stakeholder at the federal level and has had a seat at the table for every step prior to and ongoing through the Affordable Care Act. NABIP is an advocate for our NABIP-TX members and the clients they serve. Without efforts on the National level we would not have a voice for our Clients in Washington DC.

NABIP also offers its members a multitude of educational opportunities, including advanced designation programs, continuing-education classes and online learning. This allows our members to be well educated and on the cutting edge of new product offerings and requirements in the market. In addition, NABIP provides its members with professional conferences and networking functions, publications and business-development tools. We also conduct advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels of government to advance the interests of health insurance professionals and to promoting affordable and responsible private health insurance market solutions.
